Imaging Enabling
Image Enabling is the ability to link documents to transaction records in your data processing systems, to allow one-click lookup of documents from within the data processing system. An example of this would be to link invoice images to purchasing transactions in an accounting system.
IMAGINE HOW EASY IT IS IF USERS DO NOT have to open, login to and navigate two software programs to find all the information needed about a client or transaction. They can be looking at a record in SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Seibel or any accounting program and make one mouse click to display a document associated with that record.
While the ability to perform image enabling has been around since the early 90’s, it is only in recent years that robust solutions have been developed that delivery this capability without extraordinary expense to the customer in the form of custom software development.
NMS Imaging specializes in image enabling with our product, Active Listener. This product takes image enabling to the next level in two ways. First, it doesn’t just “image” enable, it “document enables”. Meaning that any on-line document (images, PC files, computer reports, photo’s, A/V files) can be quickly accessed from within another application. Secondly, NMS Imaging has developed technology that allows you to document enable ANY application, including your email system, a terminal emulator, a browser, a spreadsheet or a Windows™ program.
