Technical Project Manager
NMS Imaging, a Leader in Information Management Systems since 1971 is seeking a Technical Project Manager. The successful candidate will have begun their career as a developer and transitioned into a project management role. As such, his or her technical background will include expertise in .Net, VB, ASP, Microsoft Project and SQL. Additional experience shall include directing and leading web-based software implementation projects while ensuring goals and objectives are met within timelines and; providing hands-on leadership to the project team performing development, integration, enhancements, and implementations.
Responsibilities include:
Full project life cycle management
Day to day leadership and mentoring of project team
Providing status reports to team leads, senior management and others
Performing a variety of analysis; planning, project management, contract monitoring and management functions
Working with the Vice President and Head of Development to manage tasks, milestones, and deliverables across multiple projects. This may involve delegating tasks to inside and outside staff, gathering information from staff and/or working with staff directly to complete projects, as needed.
Facilitate requirement meetings (i.e. conference calls, on-site visitations, etc.), with clients and staff to ensure the efficient implementation of each deployment step. This may include delegating duties, and keeping team members informed of the client needs, deadline and functionality changes
Monitor systems to verify adequate performance of specific customer applications
Evaluate systems, recommend hardware, software and other system solutions to enhance project goals while considering the impact of future changes in technology and changes in client needs
Lead, direct and help design, development, deployment, problem identification, remediation, and on-going support for project systems
Required Skills:
4+ years experience in project management with demonstrated ability to:
- lead and task a team across various project types
(from tech-heavy to design-intensive, etc.)
- cultivate and grow client relationships
- accurately time projects and budget costs across a
range of project types, scale,and complexity.
2+ years experience in development or software engineering (must know.Net, VB, ASP, Microsoft Project and SQL), to draw on for leading and advising project team’s performance
Ability to apply techniques for planning, tracking, development, testing and change control
